Tallahassee in the capital city of the state of Florida. It is mostly known to house the state buildings such as the Department of Education buidling, Florida Governor's Mansion and the Florida State Capitl building. Amongst its residents, it is more known as a college town due to 2 major universities and a community college all within a few miles of eachother. Florida State University is the more prominant building directly south of the state capital building, with its massive campus, many libraries, historical buildings and state of the art sports facilities, it is ranked as teh 3rd best college/university in Florida. Next is Florida A&M University which is an HBCU located east of Florida State University. This school is very rich in tradition and also boast state of the art music facilites and top tier educational facilities. Tallahassee Community College is located a few miles south of Florida State University and is growing in popularity due to its low cost and easy transfer to FSU or FAMU.
